The Rust-based Windows variant uses genuine quantum-resistant encryption, while the Linux/ESXi variant encrypts VM datastores with conventional crypto. Rapid7 found the group's 'post-quantum' claims are partially false — only the Windows variant actually uses quantum-resistant algorithms.
