OpenAI Launches DeployCo — $10B Enterprise AI Deployment Subsidiary with Brookfield, TPG, and 19 Partners

OpenAI announced the OpenAI Deployment Company (DeployCo), a majority-controlled subsidiary backed by $500M from Brookfield and co-led by TPG, Bain Capital, Advent, and 16 other investors in a deal valued at $10B. The subsidiary acquired Scottish AI firm Tomoro, bringing ~150 forward-deployed engineers to help enterprises move from AI pilots to full deployment. This is OpenAI's most aggressive enterprise play yet — adopting Palantir's forward-deployed-engineer playbook to build workflow moats no competing lab can replicate.
