At the Create 2026 developer conference themed 'Agents at Scale,' Baidu CEO Robin Li declared the AI industry is moving from large model competition to AI agent competition. Baidu debuted DuMate, a general-purpose agent handling customer service, data analysis, and content generation, alongside Miaoda — a code-generation agent that reportedly generates ~90% of its own code. Also launched YiJing, a multi-agent digital human platform for livestreaming and real-time interactive scenarios.
