GridCARE Raises $64M Series A to Create 'Power Acceleration for AI' Category — Sutter Hill Leads, Portland GE Demo Frees 80MW
GridCARE closed an oversubscribed $64M Series A led by Sutter Hill Ventures (early NVIDIA/Snowflake backer) to scale its physics-based AI platform that evaluates quadrillions of grid conditions in real time to unlock hidden capacity for data centers. A demonstration with Portland General Electric already freed 80MW of incremental capacity in 2026, with 400MW+ targeted by 2029. The thesis: power, not compute, is AI's actual bottleneck — and GridCARE is positioning as the infrastructure layer that solves it.
