Red Hat Ships MCP Server for RHEL — Enterprise Linux Gets Agent-Ready
Red Hat released a developer preview of an MCP server for RHEL 10, enabling AI agents (Claude Desktop, Goose, etc.) to inspect systems, analyze logs, and identify performance bottlenecks. The server is read-only by design — pre-vetted commands only, no open shell access — using standard SSH keys and configurable allow lists. This is a signal that enterprise infrastructure vendors are now building MCP endpoints as first-class features, extending agent reach into operational infrastructure.
