Plaid Link Goes Live Inside Intercom's Fin AI Agent for In-Chat Bank Connection Fixes
Plaid and Fin launched an open beta (announced June 4, 2026) embedding the full Plaid Link experience directly inside the Fin AI Agent, letting end users connect or reconnect bank accounts without leaving the support chat. The first release targets stuck loan applicants and direct-deposit setup, with future expansion to identity verification and payout troubleshooting. Fin already cuts first response times from ~38 minutes to ~2 minutes, and Plaid expects in-chat resolution to compress that to seconds — a concrete example of MCP-style point integrations collapsing into the agent layer.
