Alibaba Unveils Qwen-Robot Suite for Physical-World Intelligence
Alibaba's Tongyi Lab launched its first robotics foundation-model suite on June 15: Qwen-RobotNav (navigation, target-tracking, instruction-following), Qwen-RobotManip (grasping and manipulation for robot arms), and Qwen-RobotWorld (a world model that predicts future physical states from observations plus natural-language actions). The suite is pitched as bridging vision-language understanding to physical control and is already in enterprise pilots on Alibaba Cloud. It marks Qwen's explicit move from chatbots into embodied AI and intensifies the China–US race in robotics foundation models.
