Akshay Sonawane, Sophie Choe, and Lakshman Tamil demonstrate continuous-variable photonic quantum neural networks for oral cancer detection as an edge quantum-AI use case in low-resource clinical settings. It is an interesting parameter-efficiency demonstration at the quantum/edge intersection, but highly speculative and far from production relevance for most builders.
