Claude Code v2.1.203 adds a session's additional working directories to MCP roots/list and emits roots/list_changed when the set changes. If you work across multiple repos in one session, register them as additional working directories so MCP servers see every root instead of only the primary, improving file resolution and cross-repo tool behavior.
