Tesla Sets a Steep July-to-September Optimus Production Ramp on a Repurposed Fremont Line
Tesla has laid out an aggressive Optimus humanoid production path — from dozens of units per week in June to 100–150 per week in July, roughly 300 per week in August, and a target of 1,000 units per week by September — after converting its former Model S/X line at Fremont into an automated Optimus Gen3 line with a designed annual capacity of one million units. The cadence is a concrete, near-term test of whether humanoid manufacturing can scale on the timelines robotics bulls promise. Robotics companies have now raised a record ~$55.8B in 2026, nearly double the prior record.
