AG-UI Protocol Gains Oracle and Microsoft Adoption — Standardizing Agent-UI Communication Across LangGraph, CrewAI, Mastra, ADK

CopilotKit's AG-UI Protocol, an event-based open standard for real-time agent-to-frontend communication, has been adopted by Oracle, Microsoft Agent Framework, and Google. The three companies jointly released an integration standardizing how agents are defined, communicate with frontends in real time, and describe the UI they require — building on top of HTTP and WebSockets with ~16 standard event types. The CopilotKit reference implementation sits at 29.5K stars; the dedicated ag-ui-protocol/ag-ui org is now the canonical home at github.com/ag-ui-protocol/ag-ui.
