Kepler Compute left seven years of stealth with $468M, its own 300mm fab, and a bet against EUV
Kepler is building AI memory it claims approaches SRAM's bandwidth per watt while exceeding both SRAM and HBM capacity, driven by 3D stacking and materials work rather than EUV lithography. The company says it is sampling by end of 2026 and ramping in 2027 with 2028-30 allocations already being planned, backed by $468M from Addition, Gates Frontier, Temasek, Baillie Gifford, Intel Capital, GlobalFoundries, AMD Ventures and Applied Ventures, plus angels including Pat Gelsinger and Dara Khosrowshahi. It has also been selected for up to $245M in proposed US Department of Commerce support.
