In a September 10 post, Klabnik says Git's 2005-era design can't absorb the throughput agentic development creates, because agents work best in monorepos with more context. That pushes enterprise-scale version-control problems onto small teams. ERSC plans to keep the Git protocol but swap in its own scalable storage engine, and may later support Jujutsu's native protocol. The post announces no product yet.
