Tao starts crowdsourcing a resource list on AI and mathematics, and deliberately leaves his own writing out
The September 10 post, one day before the Fields Medallist declaration, organizes material into statements and advocacy (the Leiden Declaration, the Association for Human Mathematics), reports and analyses (an MIT committee report on AI use in academic training), mathematician opinion essays including Jeremy Avigad and Hugo Duminil-Copin, and other lists from Northwestern and Proofs and Prompts. Tao says only that "it is worthwhile to start collecting useful online resources with regards to AI and mathematics in general" in response to "current events." It reads as the groundwork for the declaration that landed the next day.
