Codex promotes voice conversations and git worktrees out of experimental and turns both on by default
PR #44921, merged 2026-09-11, marks `realtime_conversation` stable and enables TUI voice conversations by default, removing its experimental announcement. PR #44870 does the same for `worktrees`, dropping it from the `/experimental` menu; when a local daemon lacks `thread/backgroundTerminals/list`, worktree creation and `/cd` are now blocked with guidance to run `codex app-server daemon update`. Related commits bundle native voice runtimes in Windows releases.
