Gary Marcus recruits two security practitioners to dismantle Amodei's six-month internet-takeover claim
Marcus co-wrote a Sep 12 rebuttal with Nathan Hamiel (Senior Director of Research at Kudelski Security, Black Hat AI/ML track lead) and Zack Korman (CEO of agent-monitoring startup Embroidery), arguing that compromising the whole internet is far harder than Amodei implies given Cloudflare, Google and AWS defenses and the absence of any funded motive. They cite the AISI report on Mythos, which found it could only autonomously compromise small, weakly defended systems. Notable because Marcus is attacking a safety argument on operational-security grounds rather than his usual capability-skepticism ground.
