Perplexity says it lets GPT-6 Astra edit production systems and checks in much less often
OpenAI's customer post, published 12 September, has Perplexity using Astra to write communications, change software and monitor production systems with far less frequent check-ins than previous model generations. Cofounder and Chief Strategy Officer Johnny Ho is quoted saying the model can 'craft communications, edit real-world systems, and monitor our production software in a way that previous generations were not able to.' The concrete workflow described is Astra building a small testing harness around an application and generating realistic responses another service would send, such as an LLM API or a connector.
