Salesforce Ships Seven Named Agents as Job Titles, Closes the $3.6B Fin (Intercom) Deal the Day Before
On September 11 Salesforce announced seven named Agentforce agents (Casey, Paige, Carter, Hunter, Marshall, Piper, Fin), six generally available now and Hunter in pilot until November, each renameable to match a customer's branding. Salesforce completed its acquisition of Fin, the company formerly called Intercom, on September 10 for about $3.6B, and Fin now ships as the enterprise CX agent. The named-customer numbers are the substance: Fin resolves 79% of Anthropic's conversations autonomously, Paige handles 70% of Autism Queensland's administrative requests, Carter covers 90% of core shopper journeys at Hibbett, and Piper drove 4x conversation volume at Asana with a 45-day average deployment.
