1080p Is 920px Tall: Real Viewport Data Says the Most Common Desktop Size Is 1920x920, Not 1920x1080

ScreenSize.net's report, snapshotted September 14, finds 1920x920 CSS pixels is the single most common desktop viewport at 15.7% of samples, well ahead of 1920x1080 at 6%, with 1920px-wide viewports making up 30.7% of desktop samples. On mobile, 400px width accounts for 64.1% of samples and 400x660 alone is 31.1%. Device pixel ratio 1.00x covers 64.6% of the 751 shown snapshots. The authors are explicit that this is their own visitor traffic rather than global market share, and they exclude viewports over 6000px wide or 4000px tall.
