Stripe and Tempo co-authored MPP, an open internet-native protocol letting AI agents pay services programmatically without human intervention — covering microtransactions, recurring payments, stablecoin and fiat via Shared Payment Tokens. Built on Stripe's existing PaymentIntents API in a few lines of code; early adopters include Browserbase (pay-per-headless-browser-session), PostalForm (agents printing physical mail), and Parallel Web Systems.
