Worldline Becomes One of the First European Processors to Accept Agentic AI Payments

French payments provider Worldline announced it will facilitate payments initiated by AI agents, making it one of the first European firms to do so. The move follows the agentic commerce protocols pushed by US platforms this year and puts a large European acquirer on the rails. It matters for builders because agent-initiated checkout has until now been blocked less by protocol than by acquirer acceptance.
