AIUC Raises $40M to Sell Insurance Underwritten by AI Agent Audits

Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company raised a $40M Series A led by Ribbit Capital with First Harmonic, on top of a $15M seed from Nat Friedman's NFDG, Emergence, Terrain and Anthropic co-founder Ben Mann, bringing the total to $55M. Founded by early Anthropic employee Rune Kvist and former METR COO Rajiv Dattani, its AIUC-1 framework works like SOC 2 for AI systems, running roughly 5,000 tests covering jailbreaks, hallucinations and data leaks, then tying insurance coverage directly to the audit result. Cursor, Lovable, Harvey and ElevenLabs are named customers, making this a concrete price signal on agent liability.
