Epic Games cut Lore v0.10.0 yesterday, its content-addressed VCS for binary-heavy repos that already backs UEFN
EpicGames/lore released v0.10.0 on 2026-09-18, six weeks after v0.9.0 on 2026-08-31. It is an MIT-licensed, Rust, centralized content-addressed version control system using Merkle trees and an immutable revision chain, with branches as mutable references rather than data copies, and bindings for C/C++, C#, Rust, Go, Python and JavaScript. It is already the built-in VCS for Unreal Editor for Fortnite, and sits at 8,669 stars with 104 open issues since its 2026-05-21 creation.
