WSO2 Ships Agent Manager GA With MCP Governance and a Kubernetes Sandboxed Runtime
InfoQ reported on 2026-09-18 that WSO2 moved Agent Manager to general availability, an open-source platform for centralized governance, identity management, security controls and operational oversight of AI agents across models, frameworks and deployment environments. The GA release adds deeper agent identity capabilities, governance controls for Model Context Protocol interactions, and a Kubernetes-native sandboxed runtime, after entering beta in June 2026. It supports LangChain, CrewAI, Amazon Bedrock, Azure, Ballerina and custom agents, and builds on OpenTelemetry, MCP and OAuth 2 extensions rather than tying governance to a single provider.
