Hostinger Retires Its Support Chatbot and Replaces It With an Agent That Edits Sites, Then Invents an "AI CX Engineer" Role to Supervise It
Hostinger quietly killed Kodee, which had been resolving 91% of roughly 1.5 million monthly support conversations, and replaced it with Hostinger Agent, which manages websites, stores, domains, email and marketing directly and lives inside Hostinger AI Builder. After changes introduced at the end of June, specialist-guided AI resolution went from 41% to 72%, live chat demand fell from 10% to 4.5%, and specialist-guided resolutions now average about three minutes against more than 50 minutes for live chat. The commercial shape is the tell: support and basic account management stay bundled with hosting, while deeper agent capabilities for marketing, SEO and analytics are sold as subscription tiers, so the same agent is both a cost cut and a new upsell surface.
