Raindrop Raises $35M and Ships Simulations, Replaying Production Traffic Against Agent Changes
Raindrop closed a $35 million Series A led by CRV with Lightspeed and Datadog participating, bringing total funding to $50 million after a $15 million seed in December 2025; researchers and executives at Anthropic, OpenAI and Thinking Machines also invested. Alongside the round it launched Simulations, which replays real production traffic and existing test cases against a proposed agent change before it ships and runs its semantic anomaly detection on the results. The team is built from fraud-detection engineers out of Robinhood and Square, which fits the company's bet that agent reliability is a detection problem rather than a design one.
