Fotor Shipped an Agent That Outputs an Editable Multi-Track Timeline Rather Than a Flattened Video, Claiming 1/200th of After Effects Cost
Fotor, which says it serves more than 800 million users, launched Fotor Agent, which takes a brief or raw source material and assembles voiceovers, music, subtitles and 4K motion graphics onto a decoupled multi-track timeline that stays parametric and editable per element. The company's internal benchmarks claim motion-graphics production at 1/200th the cost of a traditional After Effects workflow with 50x faster generation and editing, and a 3-to-5-day marketing video pipeline compressed to under an hour for a two-minute video. The architectural point worth stealing is that refusing to flatten the output is what makes the agent usable, since a minor tweak in a conventional AI video generator forces a full regeneration.
