From Spark to Fire: Single Atomic Error Seed Causes System-Wide Failure Across 6 Multi-Agent Frameworks

arXiv:2603.04474 tests six mainstream LLM multi-agent frameworks and identifies three vulnerability classes — cascade amplification, topological sensitivity, and consensus inertia — where minor inaccuracies solidify into system-level false consensus through iteration. Injecting just one 'atomic error seed' triggers widespread failure across all tested frameworks. A genealogy-graph governance plugin inserted at the message layer (no architecture changes required) raises defense success rate from 0.32 to 0.89.
