OpenAI Discontinues Sora Video App — Disney Partnership Unwound, Compute Redirected to Next-Gen Models
OpenAI officially shut down its Sora AI video generator and standalone app, six months after launch. CEO Sam Altman told employees the shutdown frees resources for next-gen AI models.
