Pattern: Zero-Install AI Tooling Wave — SonarQube, Foundry-Local, and Stripe Projects All Remove Setup Friction
Three independent launches converge on the same thesis: AI tools must be zero-friction to adopt. SonarQube embedded its MCP server directly in Cloud (no Docker), Microsoft Foundry-Local auto-detects hardware with no config, and Stripe Projects.dev provisions full infrastructure stacks from one CLI command with agent skills auto-written to the project directory. The common thread: if an AI tool requires Docker, manual GPU setup, or multi-step installation, it loses to the competitor that doesn't. This is the 'npm install' moment for AI infrastructure — one command or nothing.
