Coder Raises $90M Series C Led by KKR: AI Coding Agent Infrastructure Platform Hits Enterprise Scale
Austin-based Coder announced a $90M Series C on April 1, led by KKR with QRT and Uncork Capital, for governed workspaces that provision AI coding agents automatically — eliminating manual agent installation, LLM connection, MCP server plumbing, and tool configuration. KKR rolled Coder out to 500+ engineers and went from zero AI-assisted code to over half of commits in Coder-managed environments within a year. QRT deployed to half of its 2,000+ employees including engineers, data scientists, and analysts, signaling enterprise demand for infrastructure that sits between coding agents and production environments.
