Kilo Code Rebuilds on Portable Core With Agent Manager and 500+ Model Support

Kilo Code (17,677 stars), the #1 coding agent on OpenRouter with 1.5M+ users, shipped its biggest update since launch in April 2026. The extension was completely rebuilt on a portable open-source core shared across VS Code, JetBrains CLI, and Cloud Agents. New features include parallel tool calls with subagents, the Agent Manager for running multiple agents side by side, inline code review with line-level comments, and access to 500+ models. KiloClaw (cloud agent) is now GA.
