Microsoft released Agent Framework 1.0 on April 3 for both .NET and Python, merging Semantic Kernel's enterprise middleware (session state, telemetry, type safety) with AutoGen's multi-agent abstractions (sequential, concurrent, handoff, group chat, Magentic-One). Ships with MCP support for dynamic tool discovery plus imminent A2A 1.0 for cross-framework agent collaboration.
