Science Corp Preparing to Place First Biohybrid Brain Sensor in Human Brain

Max Hodak's Science Corporation, founded by the former Neuralink co-founder and president, has enlisted Yale neurosurgery chair Dr. Murat Günel to lead its first human brain-computer interface trial. Unlike Neuralink's direct brain tissue insertion, Science's sensor sits on top of the brain inside the skull, a less invasive approach that could address multiple neurological conditions. The company raised $230M in March 2026 and is now racing to bring the biohybrid device to patients.
