Primitive Launches AI Agent Operating System for Financial Services — Introduces 'Return on Agent Capital' Metric
Primitive, founded by banking exec Derek White, launched April 14 as a purpose-built AI agent OS for regulated financial institutions. The platform introduces 'Agent Capital' as a new form of enterprise capital and 'Return on Agent Capital' (ROAC) as a measurement framework — treating AI agents with the same financial discipline as human and financial capital. Ships pre-built agent templates for commercial lending, risk/compliance, regulatory oversight, and deep research. MX Technologies partnership (1,700 FIs) announced April 15 for AI-native growth agents. For builders: ROAC could become the standard metric for justifying agent investments to CFOs.
