Threat-Oriented Digital Twinning for Security Evaluation of Autonomous Platforms
Open security research on autonomous systems is constrained by limited access to real platforms and adversarial test conditions. This paper presents a threat-oriented digital twinning methodology that creates security-faithful digital replicas of autonomous platforms (drones, robots, vehicles) for red-team testing. The approach models adversarial communications, sensor spoofing, and control-plane attacks in simulation before physical deployment. Practical for any team building or securing autonomous agents that operate in physical environments.
