The official MCP Apps protocol extension enables MCP servers to declare interactive UI resources—charts, forms, dashboards—that render as sandboxed iframes inline in Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code, Goose, and other MCP-compatible hosts. Ships with templates for React, Vue, and Svelte, plus 15+ example implementations including 3D visualization and PDF viewing. Spec stabilized January 2026; latest release v1.7.1 on April 27.
