MiniMax H3's ComfyUI plugins outstar its own repo

MiniMax's H3 video model has spawned more than 15 ComfyUI plugins in a week, and together they've out-starred the official repo, per GitHub.

Star counts on a base model's repo are the usual shorthand for whether an open release caught on. That shorthand undersells H3: outside builders are shipping accelerators, workflow nodes, and fine-tuning tools faster than anyone's watching the model itself.

One plugin, ComfyUI-Spectrum-MiniMax-H3, already has 335 stars on its own. It uses Chebyshev ridge regression to skip transformer evaluations and speed up generation.

Two competing Director workflow nodes appeared within days of each other, running at 309 and 156 stars. An audio node picked up 222, a Turbo variant 213, and a fine-tuning tool and a caching accelerator each near 170. A latent upscaler, an easy-mode workflow, a promptor, and an awesome-list rounding out the field all went live between August 1 and 6.

That gap is now a better signal of real adoption than the base model's own tally. Watch whether the two rival Director nodes merge or keep splitting builders.
