Fetching from the wire…

The tool reproduces a failing API call in a sandbox, applies the fix, then reruns it to confirm the bug is gone.
Why now: The listing is dated August 23, the same day it climbed to #2 on Product Hunt's charts.
FetchSandbox MCP pulled 107 votes on Product Hunt on August 23, taking #2 with 70-plus API sandboxes wired into Cursor and Claude Code.
The tool reproduces a real integration failure against a sandbox, applies the fix, then reruns the call to confirm it's gone. That's a higher bar than a passing test suite, which can look clean and still break the moment a fix hits a live third-party endpoint.
Raj Nagulapalle built it and frames the pitch with a tagline: "a receipt, not a vibe." The line targets agents and engineers that report a fix as done without showing the failing call actually stopped failing.
Using it means picking a sandbox from the library and pointing an MCP-connected agent at it through Cursor or Claude Code config. From there the agent reproduces the failure, patches it, and reruns the call in one loop instead of resting on a passing test file.
70-plus sandboxes is a start, not full coverage. Product Hunt's listing doesn't say which APIs are included or how the sandboxes stay in sync with vendors' real behavior. Clearing FetchSandbox isn't proof a fix clears production too.
The 107 votes are a Product Hunt signal, not evidence that any team has replaced CI with this loop yet.

Three things happened this month that only make sense together. Agent Plugins 1.0 shipped co-signed by six competitors: AWS, Anysphere, Microsoft, OpenAI, Vercel and Google (GitHub Changelog). It makes skills-plus-MCP bundles portable across clients. OpenAI's August 11 Codex c...
Google released Antigravity IDE Extensions, putting its agentic coding platform into VS Code (macOS, Linux, Windows), JetBrains IDEs from 2026.2.1 (IntelliJ, PyCharm, WebStorm, GoLand, CLion, Rider), Zed, and Visual Studio 2026 in preview. One Antigravity account works everywh...
49%. That's how many organizations pulled back on AI agent rollouts specifically because operating costs exceeded the value delivered. KPMG's Global AI Pulse for Q2 2026 surveyed 2,145 senior leaders across 20 countries at organizations above $50M revenue, reported by Forbes o...
Six clients. One manifest. Zero vendor lock. Vercel published Agent Plugins 1.0.0 on August 6, an openly licensed spec that bundles Agent Skills and MCP servers behind a single portable manifest. The shape is deliberately boring: a plugin.json requiring only schemaVersion and...
One Claude Code release fixed two independent permission-check bypasses on the same day. That's the story. Version 2.1.221, shipped August 4, patches a Bash tool bypass where zsh could execute hidden commands embedded inside [[ ]] regex conditionals. The approval prompt never...
