A GitHub tool blocks bad AI diagrams before they render

archify turns a repo or a plain description into architecture, workflow, sequence, data-flow and lifecycle diagrams. The stakes go beyond diagrams. Anyone piping agent output into a UI, a build step or a document someone will trust needs that check before something wrong reaches the screen.

The tool is MIT-licensed and exports each diagram as a self-contained HTML file, plus PNG, SVG, WebM and a share card. It gained 1,002 stars in a single day, bringing its GitHub total to 16,788.

Its verifiability claim is mechanical rather than rhetorical. The agent doesn't draw a picture directly. It emits a typed JSON intermediate representation, and a deterministic validator checks it against a schema. A failure returns a machine-readable repair receipt instead of a rendered image. Only JSON that clears every gate becomes a new artifact, replacing the old one.
