MLReproMutate applies controlled mutations across four classes (random seed, dependency pin, data split, cross-validation fold count) and runs them against the validation workflows the repositories already ship. Of 39 frozen repository-operator cases, 24 were evaluable with 23 confirmed non-equivalent mutations, and existing workflows detected 2. An 8.7% detection proportion. (arXiv 2608.27100) The authors are careful this doesn't make those repos irreproducible, only that green CI tells you almost nothing about whether experimentally important choices are pinned.

RAGAS-style evaluation checks correctness against a frozen snapshot, which means routine document updates and corrections can silently break production without moving a dashboard. This ASE 2026 paper defines 11 mutation operators perturbing at both the pre-chunk index level an...
Ockhamareto (arXiv 2608.24473) reinforces a unit-test rollout only when it's non-dominated on both mutation-killing and test count, then ties each test's killing power back to specific source tokens. Against MIST-RL that's a 3.4x better per-test trade-off, plus 30 to 35 percen...
Learned KV eviction has a soft-to-hard mismatch: training uses differentiable gates that attenuate contributions, but inference only saves memory when entries are physically removed (arXiv 2608.23296). A controlled 2x2x2 over attention type, learned gating and positional encod...
LangChoiceBench covers 28 projects across seven software areas where Python is a poor default, run against 25 LLMs. Python stays heavily over-selected, recommendation-implementation consistency is low, and smaller open-weight models show stronger bias. Analysis of 9,826 reason...
arXiv:2608.03070, submitted August 4 by Timm, Struppek, Gleave, Pelrine and 11 co-authors, composes 67 readily accessible static jailbreak techniques into an attack space and runs it against four frontier models over 360 goals spanning CBRNE and offensive cyber. A "universal j...
