Twelve of 21 repos posted August 23-24 under one hackathon tag, and each name describes an agent that waits for a human before acting.
Why now: The repos post publicly on August 23 and 24, 2026.
Builders pushed 21 new agent repos into TrueForge in four days, and twelve of them posted August 23 and 24 under the Agent Harness Hackathon 2026 tag. Every one of the twelve is an incident or release agent. Each is built to catch a problem or a pending deploy and stop, not to act without a person's sign-off. That's the difference between an agent that fixes things on its own and one that waits for someone to say go.
The names spell out the job without needing the code: RepoLatch, holdline, sentinelforge-agent, aegis-zero, release-commander. All five are built around the same human approval gate.
Since July 23, the host repo has drawn 3,916 stars, a pull big enough to recruit a weekend's worth of builders. What's less common is watching twelve repos choose the same design in two days.
TrueForge doesn't say whether the hackathon judged entries for that pattern or whether it happened to show up twelve times.

MiniMax-AI/MiniMax-H3 launched July 30 with no description, but the tooling around it exploded: ComfyUI-Spectrum-MiniMax-H3 (335 stars, Chebyshev ridge regression to skip transformer evaluations), two competing Director workflow nodes (309 and 156), an audio node (222), a Turb...
The lab behind LightRAG (37,823 stars) and nanobot (45,882) landed correlation-regime detection plus a backtest/data/live-safety correctness pass on July 17, then Binance crypto fallback and parallel-execution fixes on July 18. Be skeptical of any LLM trading agent's claims. B...
