Built on Django Ninja and Pydantic with auto-generated OpenAPI schemas, bearer token auth, and MCP plus CLI surfaces for agents, covering pages, images, documents and custom Django models. The stated position: AI stays out of the admin interface, and the API is what agents drive, so teams pick their own automation level. Rich text fields now accept Markdown specifically because both humans and agents prefer it. That's a design concession with a reason behind it, and I'd copy the position wholesale for any CMS-shaped product. (Wagtail)

MIT-licensed desktop app and CLI that auto-detects installed AI clients and manages MCP server configuration for all of them — Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, ChatGPT Desktop, Gemini CLI. Built-in MCP marketplace, team snapshot export, automatic backups...
Anthropic invented a file convention. It's now shipping GA inside a competitor's product. Nobody wrote a spec, nobody held a standards meeting, it just happened. On July 29, GitHub made agent skills and MCP server support generally available in Copilot code review for all Pro,...
Stripe added 14 providers (Render, Twilio, Sentry, WorkOS, Browserbase, GitLab, ElevenLabs) for 32 total, letting an agent provision hosting, databases, auth, and observability then bill it all through Stripe. New guardrails assign agent identities, enforce scope rules, and ro...
The July 29 walkthrough covers the consumer chat UIs of both products, not the developer APIs or CLI harnesses where MCP is well-trodden. That summary judgment is the finding. Know that friction before you plan any distribution strategy assuming end users will attach your MCP...
The Amazon Q bug is one instance of a 2026 pattern: MCP configuration carried in repositories is now an RCE supply-chain vector, not just untrusted tool output. Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Claude Code, and Gemini-CLI are all vulnerable to MCP-based auto-launch attacks (Windsurf...
The IDE market is fragmenting, and this week drew the sharpest lines yet. Cursor 3 launched as a rebuilt agent-orchestration platform in Rust and TypeScript, replacing the VS Code fork with an Agents Window for dispatching and monitoring multiple AI coding agents. Anysphere hi...
